ATKINSON TOYOTA
No more Twinkies?!?

Please say it isn’t so!  Reports of Hostess filing for bankruptcy protection for the second time in less than 10 years makes me wonder about the future of the Twinkie.  And the Ding Dong.  And the Sno Ball.

Okay, so that’s not really the biggest news we had last week, but I’m just not sure what a vending machine would look like without all the Hostess goodies.  The big news around here was all the stories out of Detroit at the 2012 North American International Auto Show.  We saw several new models revealed from Toyota, Scion and Lexus, including the all new Prius c, that completes the Prius family.  Be sure and look for it in March.  Lexus debuted its LF-LC Hybrid Sport Coupe Concept car to high acclaim and Scion showed off its FR-S race car.  So many new ideas from the Toyota family, but one of the most exciting announcements was about the “Welcome Home” program rolled out by Toyota and Lexus for returning military members.

Can hardly believe we’re starting the third week of January…time certainly flies when you’re having fun.  Lots to learn this week.  We’re visiting Mike Calvert Toyota on Wednesday, hoping to bring a few of their big city ideas to Bryan-College Station.  More details on that soon!
